Gymnastics
Did you know that a "turner" is a gymnast?
Friedrich Jahn, the founder of the Turners in the early 19th century, has been called "the father of modern gymnastics." Many credit Jahn with the invention of the parallel bars, balance beam, vaulting horse, and the horizontal bar. Since it opened its doors in 1857, the New Ulm Turners has had an active gymnastics program.
Turner Hall Gymnastics has 212 children in the spring program. For more information about upcoming programs, call Judy at 354-1872.
If you want to show your pride in the gymnastics program, T-shirts and sweatshirts are available for purchase.
T-Shirts: Youth: $7, Adults $10
