August is Here!
Every month, as I lay out my responsibilities for the coming thirty days, I promise to improve the content and frequency of my communication on this website. Today as I begin this very project I notice that it has been nearly two months since my last attempt.
I will continue to work on this project. My hope is that, in time, not only will Turner Hall activities be posted on a weekly basis but also that members will depend on its contents.
We are currently in the middle of a busy wedding season. With the painting of the ceiling, and the work of Carol Cooper and Chris Fisher, the banquet facility is looking better every day. I enjoy giving tours to brides who have been to an event at our facility in the past and are now surprised and impressed with the improvements.
We finished another successful weekend catering at the Bavarian Blast. Landjaegers, Brat Burgers, 1/2 pound Hamburgers, Sauerkraut, German Potato Salad, and Strudel were served. Turner Hall had a fantastic float in the parade on Sunday. The gold gymnast is back! There have been many positive comments of the return of this New Ulm icon as well as the professionalism of our Dynamites teams that performed behind the float.
I hope to see many of you utilizing the deck as the summer comes to a close. Please visit us on Thursday, August 13 for Tall Tales and Legendary Ales. In partnership with Schells and KNUJ, there will be games, food, and prizes on the deck.
